| The first Coast
Cultural Night for this year will be held on Friday
27th February 2009 at the Kenyatta International
Conference Center (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya. The event starts at 7.00pm
and runs through the night to the wee hours of Saturday morning.
The Coast Night is an event that showcases Kenya's Coastal culture
through music, dance, attire,cuisine, etc.
Five leading artistes from the coast will grace the evening with
their performances. The evergreen Mzee Ngala with his bango sounds,
Them Mushrooms who the masters of Chakacha and Nzele music , the
veteran Habel Kifoto are some of the acts lined up for the show.
A variety of Coastal dishes and local coastal brews like Denge
and the very popular palm wine known as Mnazi shall be on the menu.
This event draws a cosmopolitan crowd and is patronized by revellers
across age groups. |
